My husband and I are planning to go to Italy next JAN or FEB with another couple. I was wondering if you knew any affordable travel sites for self drive vacations. Last yr we went to Ireland w/ air, car and b &B’s for one week was about $700 a person. I was hoping to find something around that price range. I’ve looked on all the regular sites (travelocity, expedia, priceline, etc) and they don’t really have what I’m looking for. Air, and lodging (either b & b’s or hotel or whatever) and I don’t know about a car b/c someone said its real easy to get around with the train. So I don’t know if we should forget the car altogether or rent a car. I guess I’m looking for any advice and tips I can get. And how soon should I book? For Ireland we booked a yr in advance and I’d like to do that this time, but only if I find a good deal. Thanks so much!
